Forts cannot spawn most Treasure (with the exception of beached Messages in a Bottle and Mermaid Gems).Forts are also supplied with at average around 8 Gunpowder Barrels in set locations making them an ideal place to stock up on Explosives.Forts are supplied with numerous Barrels with a surplus of Resources.

Any single Fort can be host to a Skeleton Fort World Event, indicated by a large and dark Skull cloud above the Fortress. The main fortress structure has 3-4 floors and a Treasure Vault below it that becomes locked during a Skeleton Fort World Event.Īn ominous skull cloud appears over an active fortress waiting to be raided. The sea-towers all contain 3 Cannons and a few Barrels. Most of the in-land towers are fitted with Cannons and Barrels with two featuring Ammo Chests. The fortification structures surrounding the main Fortress itself are made of plain wood, however they are surrounded by spikes on shorelines and guard towers both built on the walls and inside the surrounding shorelines. This applies to both player and AI.Every Fort Island is set up like a Motte and Bailey Castle with the main fortress built on top a hill with a heavily fortified courtyard below. To counter that, the prices of guild upgrades are increased (so the rate at which you can get them will be roughly the same across all difficulty levels). In all difficulty levels, the rate at which you and the AI gather resources is the same.Įncounters on the world map (static monsters) have more units (and of higher tier on average) the higher the difficulty is (this affects the player and the AI in the same manner).ĭue to the encounters on the map having more units and stronger ones, the amount of Renown gained from this battles is higher. AI is playing to the best of its ability, and start with more resources (the same amount as you start with on Easy) and more heroes. The player starts with very little resources. Legendary - unit stats are the same for player and AI. AI is playing almost to the best of its ability, and start with a bit more resources and heroes. You and the AI start with the same amount of resources.Ĭlassic - unit stats are the same for player and AI. Normal - Your heroes have slightly more health (around 10%). You start with much more resources than the AI. AI doesn't play too well - doesn't use much physics, rarely takes full cover, doesn't move ranged units away from melee units, etc.

Enemy units and heroes have less health and do less damage. This is something we plan on doing, but haven't got round to it yet (along with showing information on the differences between factions when you select a faction).Įasy - Your heroes do more damage and have more health.
